These two shots were taken directly with my camera. I set it on sepia and this is what I got: a full rich brown color.

Have you tried setting your point-and-shoot or your DSLR on sepia to see what sort of tone you get? Of course you can always adjust the tone using your photo-editing software or free software online like Picasa or Picnik

Pool umbrellas

Hi my friends! I tried something new today with my Sepia Scenes post. I experimented with Curves in Adobe Photoshop 7 and went for that bronzy, burnt look. I like it!

In my Sepia Scene today I used a Gradient layer and then added another layer, Color Balance, and adjusted the red and yellow to give the sepia tone. Using Adobe Photoshop 7.

The photo is a photo of Cancun! We sure had a great time there!

I wonder if you like this sepia photo that I've selected for today? I didn't desaturate the photo first. I applied a Layer in Adobe Photoshop and then applied the sepia sun faded filter. Because I didn't desaturate the evergreens kept their color somewhat. What do you think?
