Sepia Scenes #12

Welcome again to SEPIA SCENES!

Photobucket

An angel with golden hair and golden wings against a room divider. I was able to apply the SEPIA tone in my Adobe Photoshop editor.

I then used Photobucket to apply a
bronze effect to just the wings and the hair.

I then added a darkened frame which I faded a bit.

The dash of extra color is a nice effect, and one that I think this image probably "needed". I'm not sure it would be quite as interesting without it.

(Obviously you thought so too!)

I'm back to being pedantic again with what's currently planned as the final installment in my "How I Did It" series (Still nobody's picked up on that reference!) This week isn't really about "how" it's about "why" or more accurately "when". It should be noted, though, that the opinions expressed therein are nobody's but mine and shouldn't be considered a definitive answer to the question:

It is a lovely image but in a way creepy too...:D

Very nice, Mary. The bronzed wings are stunning! And I also like the darkened frame.

I loved the shot and had to practice with that bronzing effect also. I didn't know you could do that, what fun.

Hi Mary,
I love the header - the light on the grass is very nice.
Your angel is terrific. Definitely worthy of bronzed wings!

I'm so sorry - I completely forgot about Sepia Scenes this week & I had such a great sepia shot picked out too - I blame it on the holidays, not my memory! hehehe I'll be back on track next week!

BTW - Which day is Sepia Scenes post day? Is it Wed or Thurs?

I love that touch of bronze, Mojo is right about that, it might not be as interesting without it!
I have used a touch of colour again too this weekend, AND more importantly, I DID include the "how I did it" part in my post. It 'll be interesting to read Mojo's tutorial again this week, he does a great job with them!

That bronze effect is perfect for angel wings.

Thanks for the invite, Mary. There are times when only sepia will do so it's nice to have a meme for it.

Love the angel, it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who uses multiple photo editors.
